The instructions and guidelines provided clearly outline the expectations for the clinical teaching plan. As a medical professor, it is important to thoroughly understand the requirements and ensure their successful completion.

The main goal of the clinical teaching plan is to provide education to clients that is tailored to their specific cultural and health literacy needs, taking into consideration their social determinants of health. This means that the teaching plan should be developed in a way that is sensitive to the client’s cultural background, language proficiency, and level of health knowledge.

To develop an effective teaching plan, it is crucial to gather information from various sources, such as the client’s health record, interactions with the client and caregivers, and possibly other relevant resources. These sources will provide valuable insights into the client’s medical history, current condition, and any specific needs that should be considered during the teaching process.

While organizing the teaching plan, students have the option to use PowerPoint or a Word document, whichever they find more suitable for their needs. The choice of format should not be a limiting factor; instead, students should focus on structuring and presenting the information in a clear and engaging manner.

Once the initial draft of the teaching plan is completed, students are required to submit it for review. This step allows for feedback and guidance from the medical professor, ensuring that the teaching plan aligns with the intended objectives and requirements.

If revisions are suggested, students are expected to incorporate the feedback and make the necessary changes before resubmitting their final version by the specified deadline. This deadline, Sunday, June 25th at 11:59 pm, must be strictly adhered to in order to successfully complete the clinical component of the course.

Overall, the clinical teaching plan is a crucial aspect of medical education, and it offers an opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability to effectively educate clients while considering their unique cultural, health literacy, and social determinants of health needs.
