Write a 1200 word (excluding the bibliography) essay on the chapter you choose. There are two aspects to this exercise: Summarize the chapter you have chosen (in your own words, not from internet sources) and then relate them to the main economic concepts of the course as they are set out in Chapter 1 of the McKenzie and Tullock course textbook (or as we covered in the principles of economics lectures).
As a general guide, the summary of the chapter should be about 1/3 of the word count, and the analysis should be about 2/3 of the word count. While the writing of the paper is primarily analytical, you can choose to consult secondary sources, but it is not necessary.
